Community Collective for Youth + Family Resilience

Improving outcomes for underserved youth and caregivers impacted by domestic violence and reducing health disparities.

The CCYFR, funded/sponsored by the Family and Youth Services Bureau of the Administration of Children and Families, US Department of Health and Human Services, establishes sustainable implementation of evidence-based, dyadic, parent-child interventions for families impacted by domestic violence in two Colorado counties (Boulder and Broomfield), creating a model of successful implementation that can be scaled up across the state.

We will include two parent-child interventions that not only address youth mental/behavioral health challenges but promote the very protective factors that buffer youth from the negative impacts of domestic violence and promote youth and family resilience.

Let's Connect®

Let’s Connect® (LC) is a dyadic, parent-child intervention that builds parents’ own social and emotional capacities and well-being practices. LC also teaches parents behaviorally-specific, emotion-focused parenting skills for responding to children in a way that promotes emotional security in the parent-child relationship and social and emotional competence.

Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is the best supported trauma treatment for youth and their nonoffending caregivers with demonstrated efficacy for reducing trauma-related difficulties, enhancing parental support, and promoting youth resilience.
