About Us
The Violence Prevention Project seeks to educate and empower community members about the warning signs for targeted violence, terrorism, and identity-based violence, and the importance of reporting those warning signs to people who can help. Through a public awareness campaign that includes training, events, and social media content, the project delivers information on when and how to relay information about concerning or threatening behavior to officials, using Colorado’s Safe2Tell anonymous tip line. The project also strengthens the local systems for addressing safety-related concerns through investigations, referrals, threat assessment, and case management.
The Violence Prevention Project is funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Colorado Department of Public Safety.
